DTW Architects designed this law firm’s office, a 1,300 SF renovation in a 1970s downtown building. The original dark and warren-like rooms were transformed with a more open floor plan, belying the small footprint. Where offices were required for attorney-client privacy, full windows provide transparency and give the illusion of more space.

The owner wanted a design that incorporated both modern and traditional elements: spiral ductwork and a black-white color scheme blend with new wood floors and interior windows with muntins. The effect is calming and gracious.
