Forest History Society Master Plan
Location: Durham, NC
Date: 2013
DTW Architects developed two facility options for the headquarters of this national non-profit dedicated to the preservation of forest and conservation history. Each of the designs serve the needs of a small staff and the large library and archive collections that the staff maintains and makes available to scholars and researchers. Designs were developed to allow eventual expansion of the library and archive facilities. The designs minimize site disturbance, and the natural grades of the land allow a service-delivery area to be tucked away under the main part of the building.
