DTW Architects designed this project as a two-story L-shaped building that addressed the campus’ most pressing need: classroom and lab spaces, as well as renovation of adjoining existing areas. Situated adjacent to two existing buildings, the new structure creates a courtyard that is used for outdoor performances and events. This building is linked to an existing auditorium building with a soaring, daylighted atrium space that showcases student artwork and serves as a lobby for the adjacent auditorium.

This light-filled space looks out onto an enclosed public courtyard that is also used for displaying sculpture. The addition contains new academic classrooms, science labs, technology labs and teacher workrooms. Renovated areas include a media center and adjacent lobby areas. Site improvements include new parking areas, a connecting canopy and landscaping.
