DTW Architects designed this 15,000 SF family practice facility, now part of the Duke Health Network. The design created a central two-story administrative area flanked by two separate examination wings. This central clerestory space brings natural light into the core of the building, and exposed wood trusses and decking give the waiting area a warm and non-institutional quality.
The facility includes eight doctors' offices, two nurse stations, 24 exam rooms, four procedure rooms, an x-ray room and two blood exam rooms. The project also includes staff support and break areas, as well as parking, landscaping and stormwater management.
